Meet Bobbi
Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Approved Supervisor
My Own Journey
Hi, I’m Bobbi, a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Approved Supervisor, with over 20 years of experience in the field of eating disorders and nutrition. I am a blessed mom of three kids that I love to the moon and back.
I began working in the eating disorder and nutrition field after I recovered from my own long battle with an eating disorder. I felt it was my calling to cultivate a safe and supportive space for those specifically in recovery, that allowed for the healing of disordered relationships with food and bodies. Something that I once carried with tremendous shame and guilt has now gifted me with an ability to understand, empathize and connect with my clients on a much deeper level. My hope every day when I meet with my clients is to provide them with a safe space where they can be transparent and vulnerable, feel heard, respected and supported. My own journey has given me the greatest respect and admiration for all of my clients that trust me to accompany them on their journey of healing.
I practice from a weight inclusive, Health at Every Size©, and identity-affirming lens. I am passionate about dismantling the weight-centric, shaming and stigmatizing medical treatment our healthcare model operates from.
I served on the board of Rock Recovery for several years. I am also a former committee member of the Carroll County Public Schools Curriculum Council where I worked closely with the county health supervisor to reform how children’s health education was taught, shifting to a “do no harm" framework. I am a huge advocate of eating disorder prevention, especially in our youth. My personal journey to recovery, along with being a parent myself, has inspired me to be an advocate for changing the way food and nutrition is being taught in the public school system.
I am also very passionate about supporting parents and caregivers of children and adolescents struggling. It can be a lonely and overwhelming process. As a parent of a child who has also struggled, I now have the gift of being able to provide support both professionally, as well as personally.
I also enjoy supervising other clinicians who are looking for professional guidance to further develop their clinical skills, get support on challenging cases and gain confidence in their role as an eating disorder clinician.
Prior to founding Reclaim Your Journey Nutrition, I co-founded Courage to Nourish Nutrition in 2020.
“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive.”

My practice philosophy
I work from a client-centered, self-compassion lens using a Health at Every Size©, Intuitive Eating and identity affirming framework. I firmly believe that my clients are the experts of their own journey towards having a healthy relationship with food. Body neutrality and respect is at the heart of my work. Body positivity is a far fetched goal for most, which I acknowledge and respect. I work to help my clients learn how to attend to their nutritional needs in a way that doesn't feel like a chore or a constant battle.
Themes of Our Work Together
-
Safety
I firmly believe that in order to fully heal, we need a safe space to share our story and support in building a safe space within ourselves.
-
Trust
Learning to trust ourselves to nourish and care for our bodies is an integral part of the work we will do together. I believe in cultivating trust with my clients as a relationship built on trust and safety is foundational.
-
Compassion
Self-compassion fosters resilience, improves our self-esteem and aids in our body image healing.
-
Authenticity
I believe in the journey of letting go of who you think you should be and embracing who you actually are.
